Okay, so the breakfast… Dios mío, el desayuno. I’m a buffet girl. Seriously. The buffet is my happy place. I want options, muchos opciones. And this one… This one was… almost perfect. First off, the pan. The pan was amazing. Crusty, soft inside, perfectly toasted… ¡ay, el pan! They had pan dulce, they had pan salado, they had pan para hacer un sandwich, they had, ¡Dios mío! so much pan. And the jamón? Delicioso. The huevos, fluffy and perfect. Fresh fruit por doquier, you could get your green juices. Pero… There was a slight imperfection. The scrambled eggs one day were a touch…dry. Un pequeño detalle. But the rest! The churros. The chocolate caliente. The café! It was a breakfast for kings, queens, and hungry travel bloggers like me. My soul was happy by the end of it. I ate so many huevos and had to struggle to resist the temptation to go back for seconds. It was a experience, a whole experience! El desayuno… ¡inolvidable!

The spa itself… beautiful. I had a massage. ¡Dios mío, el masaje! One of the best of my life! And that pool with a view? Perfecto for an afternoon relajo. The sauna? Paraiso. Steamroom? Heaven.

I mean, it's not like you're stuck inside. You can visit the nearby cathedral. You can wander for hours around the beautiful city. They do have things to do!

The highlight of mi particular room was the balcón. Looking out over the beautiful city, drinking coffee in the morning, wine in the evening… magia pura.

Día 1: Llegada y la… ¡¿Torre?!
Mañana (¡y esperemos que con sol!): Aterrizaje en… bueno, ¡cualquier aeropuerto que esté cerca! (Investigaré luego, ahora la emoción me puede). ¡El viaje en avión! ¡Odio los aviones! La ansiedad pre-vuelo, ese olor raro, y la señora que se cree dueña del reposabrazos… Pero, hey, ¡la aventura!
Mediodía (¡con hambre!): Alquiler de coche. "¡El lado izquierdo, el lado izquierdo!" me repetiré mil veces. Voy a necesitar mucha paciencia (y seguro que el GPS me llevará por caminos de cabras). ¡Pensar que me voy a perder! ¡Ya estoy sudando! Me imagino hablando con el dependiente: "¿El GPS? ¿Funciona para el año…?" (me callaré la boca, antes de que me miren raro).
Tarde (¡la GRAN revelación!): ¡Llegada a la Torre! Espero que no esté en ruinas. Me imagino salir del coche, con la mandíbula desencajada, la maleta a medio hacer y preguntándome si hay WIFI (¡lo dudo!). ¿Será como en las películas? ¿Con fantasmas y secretos? ¡Ojalá! Quizás… un picnic improvisado en el césped (si hay césped).
Noche (¡la primera cena!): Buscar un pub con encanto. ¡Eso espero! ¿Comida típica inglesa? ¡A probar! ¡Y una pinta de cerveza, por supuesto! (Si encuentro el camino de vuelta a la Torre después de un par, que me den un premio). ¡Estoy seguro de que voy a hacer el ridículo preguntando por el baño!
Día 2: Inmersión Medieval (¡y posibles dramas!)
Mañana (¡con energía!): Exploración de la Torre. ¡Foto tras foto! ¡IMPORTANTE!: Buscar el fantasma (si lo hay). ¡Y cuidado con los escalones! Mis rodillas no están para estos trotes. Imagino que tendré que limpiar la Torre de arriba abajo, y encontrar algo mágico.
Mediodía (¡culturalmente enriquecedor!): Visita a… ¡un castillo cercano! O, bueno, lo que haya. ¡Me emociona la historia! ¡Si encuentro un caballero con armadura, me hago una foto! Aunque, seguro que huele a… bueno, a "historia".
Tarde (¡el gran chasco!): ¡¡¡EL GRAN CHASCO!!! Debería haber un… "Tea time". Pero, ¡¿dónde?! Así, me voy a tener que conformar comiendo cualquier porquería que encuentre en el supermercado, ¡o peor! ¡Me voy a sentir un completo fracaso!
